Photoshop Elements 6 Changing Backgrounds

I am a "newbie" to Photoshop 6 having just loaded it 4 days ago. As more experienced users know, Photoshop while powerful is not very intuitive. Jack does a great job of explaining and demonstrating basics..

Thanks for the videos Jack. What if you don't want any type of background just the object?

Elements 6 is the same program for the Mac as it is for the PC. The only difference is that on the Mac you do not get the organizer. I think Apple wants you to use IPhoto to organize with. But the editor is exactly the same for both platforms. Best of luck and thanks for writing in to the show.

Make sure you duplicate the background layer, and then make sure you click in front of the background layer to turn it off. I hope this helps you out. And thanks for the comments.

and i did what u showed me
but it deleted everything and left me with the outline i made
