  • Bruce collaborating ...

Bruce collaborating and tangling with the likes of Gene Lebell shows Bruce Lee was not interested in wasting time and messing about. Bruce put what he learned about grappling to good use and used that genius brain of his working overtime. Putting a genius brain to work, good things will result. From Gene Lebell bruce would have learnt most of what he needed to know.

  • That is why he was ...

That is why he was the best of his time.
And Bruce did study the ground game, just like ground game guys study the ground game. But the thing with Bruce was he wanted to know what skills he needed out of his own attributes to countered what these ground guys wanted to do to him. Bruce did that extensively.
Bruce said dont try outgrapple the grappler. So you can beat Bruce had tecniques waiting for grapplers to eat, that arent probably allowed in competiton. Probably havent even been seen B 4.

  • People who ...

People who encountered Bruce said he was invincible. That automatically qualifies him for being a truly great fighter. You wont get just good fighters been promoted to invincible status. Just being a good fighter, automatically means you are exempt from being even considered invincible.
Bruce Lee certainly didnt prove himself invincible. But he was certainly a great fighter, for the fact that people didnt think he could be beat.

  • i'm not saying ...

i'm not saying bruce's the best,i'm just trying to say that it won't be that easy to defeat him even for fedor.
anyway don't show disrespect to fedor cuz he is a great fighter.and who's the guy who said that?i've never heard that before.

  • and there's a video ...

and there's a video about an MMA guy who says fedor is on steroids.i don't know if it's true but like you said we can only speculate.

  • Being a fast and ...

Being a fast and porwerful striker won't save you from getting taken down and armbarred. You see, this things like breaking a punching back or throwing a guy with a one inch punch are impressive, but they do not apply to real fighting just like that. If would've been great if we could get see what he was able to do, unfortunately there isn't a single tape of him fighting, so the only thing you can so is speculate.

  • and that doesn't ...

and that doesn't mean he wasn't.you're saying "his grappling skills were limited".but if he train like today's fighters?what i'm trying to say is i've never seen a guy in MMA who's able to do all the stuff he was able to in term of power and speed.
ps:what do you mean by several accounts?

  • And he wasn't just ...

And he wasn't just an actor, he was a martial artist, a philosopher, a good athlete, but that doesn't mean he was the best fighter.

  • LOL, most martial ...

LOL, most martial arts and combat sports are meant for 1 vs 1 situations, so grappling isn't an exception.
I insist, getting Bruce Lee to the ground because his grappling skills were limited. You're trying to say he was good in something he didn't train for, that's stupid, there are many grappling masters in MMA, why the hell would they have any trouble doing what they do the best against a guy how didn't even have those techniques? its stupid.

  • grappling is ...

grappling is dangerous when your opponent has buddies.and it would be really hard even for a grappler to catch bruce.he was fast but also able to explode heavy punchbags.and i've heard many times his reflexes were purely amazing.like vidalon says imagine if he do the same training than today's fighter and improve techniques.he was a real beast for trainig and train every day.many MMA guys just train when a fight's coming up.you can whatever you want but please admit he wasn't just an actor.

  • Yeah if he was ...

Yeah if he was alive he would definitely put more attention into the ground game, but this isn't the case, he didn't train for it so he would lose to an elite MMA fighter.
The ground game can be perfectly aplied to real life. I mean, do you think Sambo (Fedor's main style) was developed for MMA? of course not! it was developed for the Russian army, for real life situations.
That's why i laughed at you when you said that Fedor said grappling is useless in real life, that's nonsense!

  • le bannaire use ...

le bannaire use jeet kun do techniques as other MMA fighters.you really think if bruce was still alive in his prime he wouldn't be the first to train every MMA styles and improve them.jeet kun do is not complete because lee is dead when he was improve it every days.bruce had more strenght and speed than all guys i know today so what if he would have the same training.jeet kun do is not a style for fight with rules but for real life and bruce prefered real life's style.

  • The thing about MMA ...

The thing about MMA fighters is that they practice the most effective techniques for fighting. Bruce Lee invented a martial art that was never effective for MMA. Jiu jitsu has proved to be more effective than jeet kune do. Without a ground you won't beat such a well rounded fighter as Fedor, theres no argue on this.
There a guys that train very hard to avoid been taken down, and they still get taken down eventually. Against a guy who didn't train for this, it would be more than easy.
