I remember watching all of this live... the beauty of Shane Warne. This was before his finger surgery, so he had tremendous spin during this golden age period for Warne

Warnie was sooo good, personally i don't even he was at his best here. Like he just kept getting better with age, he shouldnt have retired, towards the end their his bowling was just unplayable, like the flight and drift into the right hander at the end of his career was just unbelievable.

murali 76 wkts in 9 games warne 10 in 2 games against bangladesh, murali 87 in 14 warne 6 in 1 game against zim, murali 112 in 16 games and warne 195 in 36 games against England. Now both of them are very good bowlers but looking at these numbers u cant say its murali's fault that he has played more against zim and bangla. Look at the games warne has played against eng. Eng is a far worse team playing spin than bangladesh

so does that mean warne is not a great because of his wickets against these teams and that his record against india is poor, a team which is the best players of spin bowling
people should appreciate both genuises!

im sick to death of people using the argument that murali has taken his wickets against the lesser nations...well warne has a large portion of his wickets against the likes of england, south africa and n zealand all of whom could not play spin, simply because they lacked qaulity spinners in their domestic game, in the 90's england couldnt even play average spinners,
