Scorpions - Athens 2006 - Airport

July 18th, 2006...
A bunch of people are waiting with anxiety in
Athens' Airport..I look around, I see common faces..
It's the Sting Family...people that have propably one
thing only in common...They all love Scorpions..
People that I consider them as part of my family!
And finally the time has come to face the heat...
Rudy, Matthias and Pavel are coming home to Greece...
Unfortunately Klaus and James had come the day before..
As always I have a request for tomorrow's show...
Maybe the greatest memory I had from Scorpion's concerts
in Greece, was in 1993, when they opened the Face The Heat tour
in Athens..They had played Coming Home full version (with the
slow part of course)
I asked Rudy to play "Coming Home - the long version" as I said..
Up to that day, they played Coming Home short version (about 1,5 minute)
Rudy said "Ok! Coming Home, the long version"
Matthias by the time has already gone (as usually)!
On the way back home I was thinking that I told Rudy to play Coming Home
the long version not the FULL VERSION!!
But then again with the Hurricane intro, it's very difficult to play the
slow part of Coming Home...
Next day at the show Rudy kept his promise one more time!
They played Coming Home long version (the whole song except the slow part)
..And I think that from Athens' show and then, they play always Coming Home
the long version!!
