On entering the Roman period of the game, you're introduced to the timeline by meeting with many tortured souls having been crucified for years and years, hanging by their skin on the crosses, limbs severed, skin from their heads being nailed to the wood - No doubt a heavily Clive Barker influenced idea, it was impressive to see this the first time purely because of the nature of it, and how shocking and nasty it looked.

Love Clive, and quite like the game, too ;)
