what rot! this a a near perfect live performance. oscar and the drummer were feeding off each other, just as it should be.

The drummer is laggin on the kicks, and his time rushes, then drags, then he losses it a bit, etc. So the whole thing sounds a little disjointed. Not Oscar's fault.

I Have yet to watch this video fewer than three time in a row.

This is two and a half minutes of some of the most exhilarating music I've ever heard.Everything seems to be in exactly the right place. It is of course a cliche to say that the music seems to bi pouring out of a musician but it seems particularly apt in this case Oscar is Clearly enjoying himself. Oh, and why the hell had I never heard of Kenny Durham before I saw this video??!!

Terrible. What a bastard, telling the audience to keep quiet. Preposterous!

If you think Keith Jarrett would purposely lace his music with ugly noises, and make embarrassing faces while he's performing, you're out of your fuckin mind.
Whatever, if decorated arpeggios, quick key jigglings, and scale patterns are your musical preferences, so be it. Oscar has plenty of them.

It's amazing how we can listen to the same thing and come away with such contrasting experiencesyes? What you say I'm sure is valid from your perspective. I respect that. To me, however, KJ is the showman (emotes too much, trys to make new & elaborate out of old rehashed jazz licks, and worse makes arrogant comments, tells the audience to keep quiet, etc. To me, Oscar delivers 100% content and jams much more (tastefully constructed) reharmonizing and fresh melodic material.
