absolutely flawed logic, the "western world" didn't watch this movie because it showed Indian people living in the slums, they watched it, not because it was INDIAN, not because it was BRITISH, not because it was BOLLYWOOD, they watched it because it was a GOOD MOVIE. AND THE REST OF THE WORLD WILL WATCH IT FOR THAT SAME REASON, i don't understand these unnecessary racial comments, that have nothing to do with anything.

If you're referring to the dance scene during the credits, that was a reference to Bollywood films. It wasn't meant to be serious or even part of the movie's story.

That comment was supposed to represent the snobbiness of those particular characters in the movie who owned the Mercedes. It was not a criticism on Americans in general, just people who are rich who believe money is the answer to everything. It emphasized how out of touch these characters were with what was actually happening around them. It had nothing to do with insulting America.

Its like any other movie.....with lot of exageration....be real....unlike other Mumbai movie...people don't dance around to express love....west is so presumptious....

Whats up with Danny Boyle and getting dunked in S**t Did such a thing happen to Boyle in real life for him to be so obsessed with it?

All those things may happen in Mumbai...but the chances all those horror happened to 1 guy is simply silly and fantasy.

And the cops torturing like they showed for a silly show is even more absurd. Such tortures may happen for the Paki Terrorist bomber maybe.

I just saw this movie yesterday and I've gotta say, it's one of the best i've ever seen.

mumbai is just lke every other large city in the world.
they have their share of poor people, fair share of middle class and fair sahre of upper class. so yeah a small portion of the population does live like this, but theres also a great chunk of population that lives in superior conditions, similar to that you see in europe and north america.

hi there, no, not a majority of the people, but a good chunk of the population do live in conditions similar to what you see in the movie. it is extremely concentrated in some areas - there are parts of mumbai where such a lifestyle prevails.
majority of the population have a lifestyle that is significantly better than this, but not equal to the kind of lifestyle america or britain enjoys. the standard of living in india is definitely better than this, and is improving everyday.

It's Hoppipolla by Sigur Ros. I don't recall it being in the movie, though.
