just curious what people think im getting new phone shall i get this or the n96 reply or mail me plz ty

but remmember that the software that comes with the phone will be updated! HTC said they had some problems with the interface, and that is the reason why the phone has been delayed.. and every fuckin reviewer has an early ROM! just ass leodee points out! I dont think the diamond is gonna be laggy! HTC is to proud to do that!

Windows mobile 6.1 is actually a pretty good OS far better than anything else out there at the moment. I used to dislike windows mobile but this rocks!

Hi to all ... plz anyone can recommend me of this phone , some people say this is a kind of beta and some say it has some problems,for example, its laggy and slow in browsing the applications,I mean in touching the screen, for me I dont think so becoz the man didnt press the screen in a right way and srongly...

As stated elsewhere, this video demonstrates the early version of the ROM. The official retail version is MUCH better.

I honestly hate a laggy UI! when he touches a button there is about 0.5 second delay before the phone does anything, and when the screen changes there is also a slight lag when it loads up. I mean with such powerful processor technology why cant they come up with a phone that does not have this lag. Its so irritating, and not intuitive. The iphone is not only cheaper now, its UI is silky smooth (truly finger sensitive, NOT 'nail' sensive) and not to mention apple's amazing media interface!

Airplane mode means the device is functional but the networks (edge, 3G, wi-fi) are turned off so you can play music, play games, etc. while in flight.

even when it's out it stil can be bulky software, just like al htc windows Mobile devices. Even with updates its stil is. never gone the perfect thing

well looking at this video and many others on youtube of the touch diamond i think this phone is just like many other touch devices. non responsive and slow. why have a touch phone if you have to press the screen 2 or 3 times to open the application. i think this phone is seriously flawed. i think ill wait for the iphone 3g to come out. touch screen that actually works. im a non apple fan and always been a nokia fan but other companies cant compete with apple im afraid

So since this phone is not released in N America, what will be the disadvantages (or difference) of ordering one from overseas???

The accelerometer is kinda inconsistent. There are times that it lags. Iphone's accelerometer wins. I think iphone's touch UI is better, period. But this phone beats the iphone on all other aspects. Even on animation. I guess the reason why the iphone has a faster UI is because its software is not as complex as smartphones are. Iphone has a very good screen, but this one is even better. So my vote goes to this phone. I ordered mine today. Will get it by Friday.
