Probably the best video I have seen. very appropriate. The only thing that would improve it is a picture of a small farm cemetery set among the fields. I have seen some good renditions of " with vidoes that have nothing to do with the content of the song.

This song was played at my little cousins funeral, she was 9 when she died and when i listen to this, it brings tears to my eyes.. Beautiful song (:

Eva Cassidy, R.I.P. such a beautiful voice as to send many to tears. I almost cry everytime I hear this. Makes me sad, but also relaxed when hearing it. Such a blissful singer. And such sweet words, thanks to Sting. Great vid, thanks for posting it.

beautiful song.. sting is a great artist and redoing a classic such as fields of gold can be rather risque and disasterous, BUT EVA CASSIDY made it work perfectly... its mellow and peaceful and u just want to fall into a beautiful bliss sleep listening to it... LOVE IT!!!! Oh and the video it good too.. well done!!!

Thanks for that Info. I always assumed that because Sting's version had been played on the raido after Eva's, that she was the songtress. Good to know that Sting is getting the respect for his words. Still...the song brings tears to my eyes...

Barbviola, Sting didn't revive this, he wrote and recorded the original version. I prefer Eva's cover version though. Like others have said, moves me almost to tears.

this song reminds me of when my uncle passed a few years back, i thought i had got over it but i heard this song and it brought back some happy but painful memories
