    and no u don't need tummy flab for this! on the contrary as a belly dancer u want to look fit and slim.. tho you don't have to of course most just feel more comfortable that way as their bellies are exposed..

    noooo lol i have a tummy too but i cant seem to coordinate my abs enough for this either lol, supposidly i did it once when i was laying down and my husband freaked out and said "that was awesome do it again!" lol. ok heres an easy tip for your upper abs, keep a neutral spine and drop your chest muscles pushing your belly out. (kind of like when your going a #2 lol its gross but it helps)the muscles are right below your chest like youre doing a sit up. hope this helped :D keep practicing!
