We at Geek Teks are very proud NOT to be associated with the Geek Squad or any of the other companies mentioned in this video. We are very different. Read on to find out why some or our policies help maintain accountability within our company and keep us a very honest business.
You see, unlike the Geeksquad and other well-known computer repair service centers, not only do you not pay UNLESS we fix it, but also, you do not pay UNTIL we fix it. We do not charge your account UNTIL after we have obtained your signature on our invoice indicating your complete %100 satisfaction with both our service and charges as they appear on the invoice. By implementing these policies into the framework of our SOP, we are able to build trust in our business and renew consumer confidence.
Also, all of our teks are highly experienced and therefore skilled. Our teks usually have at least three certifications: A+, Net+, and Sec+. Although we don't feel the certifications are really the most important qualification of a good tek, we understand they are important in the eyes of most consumers. Finally, our teks undergo a complete and thorough background check.
Our company takes pride in becoming as transparent as possible to the consumer. Why? Because we have absolutely nothing to hide. See, when your an honest company, you can implement honest policies such as ours without fear of consumer fraud. We trust our customers and we know that our customers trust us. And that is just the way a good honest business in North America should run.

By quelaracat [Affiliate User] 1186550853 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removecircuit city charges 59 diagnostic fee on any pc that gets checked in - just like a tv repair shop, they have a deposit on repairs also - we would usually put the 59 diagnostic towards whatever else is found to be wrong - like, if the os is toast, the 59 would go towards the os reinstall

By RenegadeFury [Affiliate User] 1186405763 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWhen I said "I would leave"...actually, I meant to say "A normal person would leave", and I'm not normal, I like it here atually. As low-technologically advanced this state is, I still have my inventions, computer, internet, and couch...gotta have the couch! =)
By sabriath [Affiliate User] 1186385949 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveSave up, and come to NYC!
By lboogie75 [Affiliate User] 1186384067 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI know EXACTLY what you mean 8plumbi. Mechanics I have ever worked beside have all BS customers into believing a part needed replacing only to "tweak" something instead, this is common in commissioned employees. LISTEN UP EVERYONE, do NOT go to a national mechanic shop (gy, pb, fs, etc.), they WILL screw you over! If you see "ASE" tag, they will DEFINATELY screw you! Find a Father-n-Son shop, if the manager is straight up a-hole drinking beer in front of you, THAT's the shop you want!
By sabriath [Affiliate User] 1186383949 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI live in delaware, there isn't much in "opportunity" for technical skills. I would leave, but with what money? I found a job almost immediately after getting turned down from GS that is less stressfull and pays quite well. I don't need a computer "job" when I get my kicks helping friends, I only got the degrees because I like learning =)
By sabriath [Affiliate User] 1186383271 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIf you have "8" degrees, why the F**k would you want a job with Geek Squad?...
By lboogie75 [Affiliate User] 1186381183 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThe people at comp usa are actually really good, when I was building my first computer, that didnt work, I jsut went up to the desk and asked them if they could tell what was wrong. They said that my processor was upside-down, so they switched it, and it worked. They just said it was free. awesome.
By theredbanana [Affiliate User] 1186362712 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveYea I sent an application to GeekSquad(BestBuy) and Firedog(CircuitCity), im 17, If i get one of these jobs I dont plan on being a fkn retard like these guys in the video... And the loose IDE would not be found by someone like my dad or a noob, unless your pc has no unused wires, then if your a noob you would not know that was the reason, and also another point is whats the diffrence between this and getting your car repaired.
By 8plumbj [Affiliate User] 1186358169 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveUh... k. You don't sound as smart as you claim to be. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who will fix a motherboard by replacing the "fried copper". Nice try, though. Maybe you should stick to programming.
By korrd [Affiliate User] 1186150866 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removefreelance is best i guess...you don't have to follow their rules and still give good service
By DJWilsonX9 [Affiliate User] 1186049133 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveActually, I'm 27 with 3 degrees in Computer Networking and 5 in Computer Programming and theory, and they didn't accept my application. I was wearing my best suit too, so it couldn't be my appearance (wife loved it). Geek squad overcharges by 10x the price to repair or replace parts, and I think everyone should ban from going into Best Buy unless it's an outsourced cubicle (like phones). =)
By sabriath [Affiliate User] 1185951664 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThey sell an outdated CPU for $300 While I can get a new and 10X better one at newegg for less than $300. F**k Geek Squad and you need to be 18 to apply. It's not like it's anything hard.
By coolboy499 [Affiliate User] 1185846013 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveLMFAO computer repair is for Newbs get into programming. If your motherboard if fried then thats the hard part where u gotta replace the fried copper with any thing that is conductable and replace the components. Sometimes crashes are caused by bad memory in the OS which is very easy to repair. Fuckin geek squad I fooled those bitches I'm 17 and I'm already smarter. They carry old outdated MB's and CPU's which is bullshit.

im glad to see alteast one honest buisness that didnt even charge anything.
The best way to get an honest price for repairing your PC. Show up at the PC repair place with a baseball bat. Speak in a calm voice and say to them "Don't lie to me"
By Grooveraider [Affiliate User] 1185547224 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWOW that is crazy!!! so many people lie just to get more money.
