It's awkward if you come off awkward and aren't comfortable with it/yourself.

So to summarize, aim to be:

fun, cocky, confident, nonchalant, sexy

Alot of it is you have to project confidence, you should come off as nonchalant and that it's normal, not a big deal you're dancing with them. I'll also tease girls and be playful alot, "show me what you got!"

Be a challenge to them, be a bulldog, not a little puppy

I would almost Never go up from behind a girl and start grinding her. I would definitely make eye contact and smile first,dance near the girl, give her the opportunity to notice me.

You could be really direct, go up to her smile, and say "What's up?! let's dance!" Or you could be more subtle and let her notice you.. I would suggest the first one especially over just going up behind a girl, that won't get you anywhere.

Hey Chi, I had bad experiences dancing in the clubs due to girls rejecting me when i go up and grind on her. Or if i get lucky and meet a drunk one, they always leave me in like 30 secs. what's the trick initiate a dance with a girl u just met? do u have to make eye-contact and walk up? or do you just walk behind her and dance?
I really appreciate these helpful videos.
