Whip Rush review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Whip Rush from Vic Tokai and Renovation Products for the SEGA Genesis. One of the countless shoot 'em ups released for the Genesis games, Whip Rush is a dumb name for a really cool game. The year is 2222, and Earth has been attacked by a massive alien warship from the planet Voltegeus. You only have three weapons to attain: a laser, a missile and some fire. But you can upgrade each weapon by collecting its orb consecutively. So grab two lasers in a row, and that laser beam doubles, and so on. It makes navigating the levels without a hitch all the more important, because you really need those upgraded weapons.
