Amit Duvdev Duvedevani and Erez Eisen have been working for nearly two years on an aggressive new album Legend of the Black Shawarama their first since 2007s critically acclaimed Vicious Delicious for dance-music visionary Paul Oakenfolds Perfecto label. Duvdev describes the new record, recorded at Infected Mushroom Laboratory in L.A. as a return to the pairs metal roots. Guests include singer Jonathan Davis of Korn, who lends his estimable pipes to the song Smashing the Opponent which will also be the fist single. Jonathan Davis will also be offering up his directing skills for the video. Killing Time features Perry Ferrell (Janes Addiction/Porno For Pyros/Satellite Party) on vocals who has become a friend and fan of Infected Mushroom. Paul Oakenfold has worked closely with the band in an A&R capacity. Pauls known as a House DJ, so we werent sure how hed feel about our heaviest material, Duvdev reveals, but he loved it. Hes really brought a lot of great energy and advice to the table.

From the Ultra Fest in Miami to the Virgin Festival in Baltimore, from Mexicos OMIX to Calis Coachella, from Brazils Ipanema Beach to Melbournes Metro Club, Infected Mushroom has averaged about 120 live performances per year. The band will honor that tradition in 2009, starting with a 17-date U.S. tour which kicked off in Texas in March and is followed by more U.S. Dates in June and throughout the rest of 2009.
