An Jian Qiu showing Xing Yi Quan forms and applications at the BLCU gym in Beijing.
2002 Beijing Champion - Bagua Zhang
2003 Chinese National Champion - Xingyi Quan
2004 Chinese National Champion - Baji Quan
2003 Shandong silver medalist - Sanda
Very nice however his XY looks "Baji-fied". Not the best idea to practice XY & Baji, theyre too similar, and too different. Much stomping accompanying his fa-li and it is Baji that utilizes stomping as part of the power. In XY stomping actually minimizes the power thru the respective striking weapon as some is sent or lost into the ground from stomping. In XY when issuing, the less you stomp, the more jin that will emit from the part of the body that is hitting. Just my opinion. Cheers.

Will try to come by when I hopefully make it to Beijing soon!

It's the same principle with the little step. When taking one big step with a lot of power, it's almost impossible to get the explosiveness at the end.
By niekwushu [Affiliate User] 1215496373 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThe reason he makes the little step is so that he can release a stronger burst of power (发力 / 发劲). It can be applied in just about every form or Chinese martial arts.
If you practice Xing Yi or another form of Chinese matrial arts you can try to do it to understand what I mean...
When doing a movement control your energy and power and release it at the very end.
i that hes too lazy to lift up his foot
By jaygmui [Affiliate User] 1215388444 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWow, he has an unbelievable Fajin! Does anybody know where he lives? I really like to visit him one day!

By JesseGuitar07 [Affiliate User] 1214082180 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removerofl i dont know why you look down at 16 years olds, people practice wushu at younger age, like 7 or younger. but if he's able to use his body weight as power after stepping like Xu Bu then he's fine
By sYncTrinary [Affiliate User] 1213281016 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveYoure just 16, right? go get some Ritalin. Im not talking about fajing. I meant a stepping thing he does that i dont see anyone else doing. Ill only pay attention to the clip poster's response to this.
By JoseAlbn [Affiliate User] 1211367263 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeor you can just let him hit you and you'll see if it's fah jing or not
