  • This was back in ...

This was back in the mid 80's and I think it was the under-19's crowd. What I do remember is that it was August here and hotter than hades! As far as playing anymore, I cant. I was injured playing football(not soccer) during the off-season that put me out for life. Well, it was great while it lasted. No regrets!

  • That's pretty cool ...

That's pretty cool - doing a response to the Haka is good. It's not done just to hype the team, it's a challenge & picking it up like that shows guts & respect. Although I do have to point out that it wouldn't have been the ABs that played - they've only played the US twice and won both of those. Probably the Junior ABs? When was this? You still play?

  • I remember them ...

I remember them doing this in OKC, Oklahoma with the USA mens team. When the haka was done the Chactow tribe came out with the eagle dance and to my and the rest of the fans suprise, the mighty all blacks were beaten by a try. It is one of the VERY few times the USA mens team ever beat NZ. Even though I played fullback for the USA womens team, I still like the original and the best....the ALL BLACKS! Work that Haka! Get that mana up!

  • Im from New Zealand ...

Im from New Zealand. For all use guys wondering the haka is a traditional maori war dance. It is used to threaten the opponents and declares a kind of 'war' between teams. =)
