    Hot air is more of a vacuum than cold because the molecules are more spread out. But if this happens inside a small contained space, there will be pressure on the container. The pressure on the tongue (part of the container wall) will push it out. SO my original claim that heating up and NOT cooling it would have done a better job. They were idiots.
