a0e0roberts, I was in Monouthshire (sic) a while ago and at a Forest gate there were two signs, one in the Queen's English and the other in Welsh. Translated, the Welsh notice, for Welshmen, said,'A warm welcome to the Forest'. The other notice written by the Welsh in English for the English said, 'This is the Forest, Take your rubbish home with you'. I found this deeply offensive, but perhaps it is because they are still pissed off because they had only two men at Rourkes Drift.

I'm english and have researched this subjecy. At the time of the battle of Rorkes drift it was a Welsh regiment in all but name. Most of the soldiers were Welsh but today some idiots are counting Welsh soldiers in Monouth as english. They are not. Around 67 soldiers were Welsh

usuthu means in English 'charge that area'.
