i was at the 2008 Old bridge race way in NJ when it happened. the run before the one he crashed his shoots opened before he even got to the end. Call it ironic, i call it his team fucked up, that might of been why he didn't stop or not i don know but that made me fall bad . But probably was the explosion b4 the the end line.

NO you dont when the body blows off the shoots automaticly open.Trust me i know I work on ihra top fuel team.

This is a woderful tribute! I am a huge drag racing fan and this saddens my heart. Scott will truly be missed!

Very well done. We had the pleasure of seeing him race at the NHRA Southren Nationals in Atlanta, Ga. this year. May the Kalitta family find peace from something so horrific. Our thoughts are with is wife, childern, parents and all who were close to him.
In my opinion NHRA Funny car just wont be the same.

i was his #1 fan 4 all my life i was watchin the race i was there at summit raceway i saw the crash live. i cried
unfortanetely i saw him die i went to the hospital that day to see if he was o.k. and the doctor told me he was dead.:-(
