Probably the most recognizable intro and guitar riff I can think of...I have caught at least one show from every tour since 1983..and I still get major goosebumps when I hear this intro..call me crazy, but these 4 boys are the real deal..

WTSHNN is talking about Heaven to most people, and that's what it means to Bono who wrote it. If you buy the Deluxe version of the 20th Aniversary Ed., in the book it has Bonos' hand written lyrics for the song. Although on the recording a lot of the words are changed to be symetrical with the music, but by those lyrics you can tell he's talking about Heaven. Also the version at Slane, he changes some lyrics, and sings where there will be no more sorrow or pain, so it has to be Heaven.

Now that you explained what sick means to you sorry for giving you a minus 1, because I love the DVD. It was my first ever DVD of U2, and i think it's brillant!!!!!

It's not ment to b sad I've just lost a lot of family members in the last few years & had 2 figure out what music they would like played, so I just wrote it down so my family wouldn't have 2 guess.

Well said U2. In this particular song, it makes the time signature change from the intro into the body of the song seem so effortless. But it is spot on perfect.

yeah the click track has helped U2 a lot. i believe mullen first started using a click track for the War album, which resulted in sunday bloody sunday working out so well.

This is great stuff. Larry Mullen Jr. was not afraid to use a click track some 20 years ago (note the headphones). When the timing is spot on, that is what separates the pros from everyone else.

U2 with their best song at their best period of time. Wonderful.

U2 have been my heroes from their very beginning and this is one of their very best songs. Nothing compares to experiencing this one live. You can't describe it. It's a transcendent thing indeed.
