What a joke!!!! Ronnie Van Zant is dead more than 30years and is still more talented that Neil Young. You still don't get it, rock music was born and raised in the South. It is a historical fact, even if you don't like it. ALL the pioneers of rock are Southerners.

Neil Young RULES! And for the record, he was and remains on friendly terms with the band. They actually had a chuckle over the uproar the song created among their fans. And NO, Neil is quite proud to hail from Canada.

Well, speaking from the experience of having actually SPOKEN TO WAYLON(he HATED to be called "Waymore" and only his closest friends ever called him by his real name)he was every bit as pleased to meet Neil as Neil was to meet him. Waylon was a great singer but Neil was/is a great songwriter, guitarist, director AND singer-a complete package and a TRUE living legend.
