Me havin' the best time of my life on a 2007 Harley-Davidson Night Rod Special V-Rod @ various locations including Rider's Edge, Builth Wells, Wales, UK after getting my full big bike license with flying colors!
Preppin' for the ride, takin' off from 0 to 60mph under 4 seconds (WOAH!), testing the ABS brakes by decelerating from 100mph to nil(aaaaw YEAH!), etc.
Fun times!!!

  • i've had softails ...

i've had softails since 1987 - now i'm seriously thinking of buying a NRS - but here Downunder, even if i ordered now, i wouldnt get it until december :( besides, i want to wait until june when h-d announce 2009 features - i'm hoping ABS will come with it..... and yes, the headlight is great, instruments, rear end, everything :) oh, hang on, one small thing i DONT like - the "harley davidson" on the tank is way too subtle.... needs to be more "noticeable" :)

  • the stock vrod ...

the stock vrod would have to have the UGLIEST headlight known to man! i think the harley design team must let the apprentices in to finish off the bikes sometimes!

  • Hi there Noble. ...

Hi there Noble. Thanks for asking fella. I'd the same question from Resq 'bout coupla months ago (I think).
It's a Harley-Davidson Aviator 3/4 Black & White Leather Helmet (Part no. #EC-98030-05F) retailing at the moment for £202.40 from Guernsey Harley-Davidson Online. Google it.
Bought it about 3 yrs ago. Veeeeery eye-catching while on the road.
Glad u like my choice fella & hope u can get ur mitts on one too!
Good luck, ride safe & watch out for that side-swiping nut on the road!

  • Great to hear that! ...

Great to hear that! I love to see people taking that seriously. Most people here just buy one and drive it (without even a license). I'm no fool I went through a course and got my license. I am actually anticipating taking more advanced courses. Can't wait!

  • Thanks for ur ...

Thanks for ur comment Unku. Fortunately, I live in the UK where it's a wee bit more safer (so to speak) to ride here than it is in Miami. The clip u're seeing me going "woohoo" is after I'd gotten my full Harley bike license & I'm riding the NRS in the secure confines of Rider's Edge on Day 6. I might be crazy bout H-D, but I can assure you, I ain't stupid on the roads.
The whole point I waited & got trained at Rider's Edge from scratch is to make me a whole different level of a better rider.

  • Hah, nothing like ...

Hah, nothing like some good curves and corners!

Anyone who exclusively drives cars couldn't possibly understand the beauty of curves with a bike.

  • The guy riding the ...

The guy riding the bike kind of stresses me out, he looks like he doesn't have as much control as he could. Maybe a bit less "woohoo" and a little more control and meditation.

But I guess I say this as someone who lives in Miami. It's rough here, so much danger on the streets, friends loosing their lives here regularly in accidents.

But man, that's my new dream bike, it's beautiful. Keep on ridin, and take care of yourself. :)

  • That's awesome ...

That's awesome fella. I hope them 10 miles had a wee bit of curves n corners in 'em. Most folks can't grasp the concept of a H-D cornering. But then, they don't know diddly-squat, what?!? I had an exhillarating time this weekend going down the gears into a tight-as-feck corner & then then opening the throttle to 9000 revs in first gear & shooting out! But no wheelie =o( Bit squeamish on the rear, but the look on the white van man's face on the other side of the road was well worth it all. lol!

  • Gosh, that's a ...

Gosh, that's a shame. Which models do they have there then? The Night-Rod Special is a forward-foot mounted control bike. I am extremely partial to forward-foot mounts. I don't like mid or rear mount controls as I'm not a super-biker at all. Ask Zagreb H-D if they've got a normal V-Rod with forward-foot control. If they do, test ride it. The normal V-rod is like "Hi, look at me!" and the Night-Rod's like "What are YOU lookin' at?!?" attitudes if u get my drift? What're the roads like in Zagreb?
