See Mr Excel use a Pivot Table with Grouping and a Count function to create a Frequency Distribution. See excel is fun use the FREQUENCY function (upper limit is included in count) to create a Frequency Distribution and use the SUMPRODUCT, COUNTIFS, and COUNTIF functions (upper limit is not included in count) to create a Frequency Distribution.

    The keyboard shortcut to update all pivot tables is Ctrl+Alt+F5, I also learned to format your data as a table to make sure all new data is captured in the pivot table

    You are right about Pivot Tables!

    Pivot Table best for:
    1) data will not change (most data dumps are like this)
    2) quick creation

    Formulas best for:
    1) You don't want to have to refresh
    2) Data Changes a lot
