I agree totally xcmhx! So-called "country" nowadays is just pop with steel guitars. They all sound like the fuckin' Eagles! People should listen to Lucinda Williams, Robbie Fulks, and Hank III. THAT is real country music, not this pseudo-pop-twang that's being marketed to women between the ages of 15 and 45! I feel like I'm being indoctrinated with crap when I watch CMT.

here's one thing. he's awesome and i'm not racist but the last black country singer i heard sounded nothin like this and that was cowboy troy. he's awesome. but darius rucker sounds just like a white country singer. like the first time i heard this song i thought it was like brad paisley or some other white singer. i never would have thought he was black.

I get sick of music really fast, but I never got sick of my old Hootie and the Blowfish Cd's or Counting Crows for some reason. But I'm glad to hear this from Darius. Darius Rucker, country? Wow! Jessica Simpson's song Come on Over isn't half bad either. But give it up Kid Rock and Cheryl Crow, Yuck!

Yes, Darius is good. I love his voice and this song. But so far his country career is a "one hitter". He has a long way to truly prove himself to be amongst the likes of Trace Adkins, Tim McGraw, Vince Gill, Tracy Lawrence.. I could go on and on. I hope he makes it. Like I said he has a nice voice. But based off of one song You cant really throw him up there with legends.

The best rapper's white and the best country singer's black. It's about damn time huh? Next American president will be black and a woman will be V.P. and all the backwards people in the country will be gritting their gums and waving their guns in a blaze of anger and confusion at the society that has begun to pass them by. Some of them will write letters to the editor, others will log on and shoot off, and the few that remain will slowly but surely assimilate to modern culture. Deal with it man.

Sorry if it offends anyone but I don't like most of the "top" country songs. Phil Vassar sounds like a dork and Dierks Bentley is one. I really can't think of anyone current I enjoy listening to. So Darius is black. Big Flippin' deal. He sounds better than any white singer these days. Because they have all lost touch with their roots. Some of them never had roots to begin with. Ha! You know who you are you silly wanna-be rednecks. Tank your careers already. Darius Rucker and Jeff Bates are GOLD.

That's a pretty song. This guy has amazing talent and I hope he produces more songs of this incredible calibre. It would make me happy to see him go full-on country genre and take the industry by storm. Hopefully his country music career takes off and sees him achieve the success he deserves. Compared to 95% of all the bullshit that's on radio these days (Taylor Swift (yuck), Brad Paisley (what went wrong!?), Tim McGraw (career based entirely on image), Trace Adkins, and all other one "hit"-ers)
