It's based on the ...
It's based on the life of an young Northern Irish National Catholic who was recruited by British intelligence to infiltrate the Provisional Irish Republican Army and send them back intelligence on their activities. He rose through the ranks until Provos discovered he was an informer. He was "arrested" and certain to be tortured to death when he leaped out a window. He later lived in England under witness protection but the bastards caught up with him and shot him six times. He survived again!
