When you talk about the image of Indians in the West, you should note that all the slum-dwelling poor people they think of are either the Southies or the Biharis. You people in the south have 20-30% poverty rates, no clean water to drink or to bathe in, no infrastructure...what image are you talking about? 98% of villages in Punjab are electrified and there are hardly any slums. So stfu with your bitching and get over your S**t .

lol3456, this is why you're full of S**t Get over the IT S**t You've got one or two cities (full of non-South Indians, btw) in South India that's finally starting to pick up its ass. But do you know what's happening to South Indian middle class? Look at the poverty rates for your "south" and compare it with Punjab...look at the per capita incomes of the middle classes of both regions...maybe that would shut you up for a bit.
