  • You obviously never ...

You obviously never managed, coached, or lead a team... When people don't step up, u check um. follow their discipline. At times, there is NO time to babysit! Gasol's a fine damn player and fit in very well with the Lakers. He added the sass in the team. Players know what their roles are and when they don't step up even after spending the same time, same drills, same S**t , push comes to shove buddy. You make decisions and take risks. Kobe had 4 yrs of bullshit! i would have don't the same thing

  • The real irony is ...

The real irony is that YOU spent so much energy stating your weak points yet conclude that there was no sense in arguing with me??? seems to me you had a great time doing it! I don't know what's worse, excusing your inadequate arguments or your desperate justifications? Individual players are responsible for recognizing TEAM play. A leader is responsible for MAINTAINING it. that is what a LEADER DOES. Kobe didn't do anything different other than sustain his team n keep it consistant!

  • It's not an excuse, ...

It's not an excuse, it's a darn fact! you're comparing regular season with playoff season! the irony is that best record in the NBA nearly got their asses kicked by the HAWKS? son, playoff basketball is much harder than pre-season and reg. season ball. U KNOW THIS!

  • is that your ...

is that your comeback??? what a weak insult. And my question about James' team was that of a sarcastic one. What I've said is that James was given so much credit for carrying his team all along for making THEM better! Now that he didn't make it to the finals, people talking smack as if HIS TEAM's at fault! so which one is it?!?!? Does he have a team or not??? I certainly don't think so, but I bet had the cavs made it to the finals, people would be singing a different tune.

  • All you Kobe ...

All you Kobe bandwagoners fail to see that it wasn't Kobe Bryant that turned the team around. He played better his 81 point season, but it was nothing till the others started playing ball. Kobe's not doing anything different this year than he has been all along. He's not all the sudden some hall of famer now. He's always been. Gasou isn't playing at some level never seen before, Neither is Fisher or Odum. They just play well together.

  • No since in arguing ...

No since in arguing with you if you can't tell that the talent around James isn't up to par. It'd be like trying to communicate with an infant, which is what your Basketball IQ seems to be.

  • The conference ...

The conference excuse doesn't hold water because Lebron has had success against western conference teams too. His stats aren't any worse against conference teams. His TEAM, however would not fare well against western conference TEAMS. You seem to not know the difference between TEAMS and Players on the teams. Kobe has been doing what he's doing for years. It wasn't till he got a TEAM, that he went back to the finals. Lebron will get his team soon. You rookies will be silent then.

  • LoL, that shows ...

LoL, that shows your ignorance. No he didn't. The Lakers got a key trade from Memphis and Kobes teammates stepped up their games. NOW, they are champions. Kobe even said it. He knows it. He wanted to be traded cuz his teammates were playing like junior high athletes. Now, with Fisher added and other's playing ball, all he has to do is do what he's been doing, which is being a very very good ball player, not a team changer. You got it twisted.

  • Kobe is what ...

Kobe is what everyone wants Lebron to be
    Jordan-Like Kobe-Like
    Inside game perimeter game defense
    a will to win
I hope Lebron one day can to it but for now even if he gets all the stats he still is behind MJ and Kobe

  • Wasn't even denying ...

Wasn't even denying that for a second, pops. But, If you're gonna be real and compare the conference that LeBron plays in, He's always going to be a contender...He's a phat player! but his conference is weak...'Specially this season. So I'm not surprised he made it to the second round. And just to clarify, to "Turn" a team around consists of consistant play all around...Now what the public's saying is that LeBron needs better players! I thought he had them??? go figure!

  • "He's the best ...

"He's the best player on the Lakers and in the top 3 in the league, but I've never seen him turn a team of nobodys into a contender."

    He just did...

  • Kobe is a scorer. ...

Kobe is a scorer. Lebron is a leader. The difference? Kobe sets scoring records. Lebron changes teams. He'll get his one day. Just not now. Too early to start bashin Lebron. He hasn't even peaked yet. Kobe's peaked

  • Noone here's hating ...

Noone here's hating on Kobe, I'm just keeping things real. He's the best player on the Lakers and in the top 3 in the league, but I've never seen him turn a team of nobodys into a contender. He's lead teams with the talent around him, but he hasn't created something out of nothing. Lebron has. Cleveland isn't as good as L.A. is, but my thoughts are if you put Kobe in Lebrons shoes, they'd be about 10 wins less and would'nt be as good. Kobe would just score 50 60 70 points.
