Crossdressers and transvestites both wear female clothes.The main difference is that transvestism has a more fetish like or sexual connotation.Now the word "transvestite" has gone though some changes depending on where you're from but both crossdressers and transvestites both identify as male. Now transsexuals or "trannies" identitfy as females born into the wrong sex.
