Yes, he is alive. He was born in 1945 in Puerto Rico, his family moved to NYC when he was 5 and started to play in clubs at age 17.
In '66 he went to Argentina, played in Mar del Plata and was offered a contract to record in Spanish. He is one of the few singers that are famous in both languages.

Quantity (50 players using a pick for each player using hands) means nothing. It only means there are less players learning classical guitar. It is not hard to coordinate your fingers if you learned and trained as you do when playing classical. Don't you think that if it is faster all classical guitar players would be using a pick?

Too late for that.... Jose Feliziano conquered many many many spirits with his music. He sings not only from his heart... but his soul. there's nothing like this voice... it's a haunting tune... listening to him with your eyes closed will bring you a million miles back in nostalgia.

This guy should be banned : he is too good.
Lets form a movement with Simon Cowell to get rid of talent like this : he is BAD... He makes mediocrity look awful. He must be stopped....otherwise there can be no POP IDOL/no X factor.....Jose needs his guitar broken before more people hear him !!!
