but they aren't as good as his model, they actually have really bad wood. I want a signature that the artist actually uses. Steve Vai's and Paul gilberts guitars are really close to what they actually play

why is that bad?they're easy to play on

yeah definately...but it's something that A LOT of beginners tends to screw up on. I've seen a lot of intermediate shredders who can't bend a string with right pitch or just sounds like crap when they play slow. So i guess it's not always about chops.
even tho satch itn't the most technical player, he is def. one of my favorites.

what i don't like is how his guitars are completely different from the Ibanez signature series. He uses different woods, different neck profile, different pickups, and he uses a different floating tremolo (or he used to at least)

This is actually a really good lesson. Far more interesting, and it actually gives you methods for practically that can remain interesting. More so teaches you how to teach yourself, I like that. That guitar is fuckin amazing!!

Zakk and Randy are good, but none of them reach Joe's brilliance and technique. This guy is the best of his game.
