  • Hi! Actually ...

Hi! Actually signing in a mulit-lingual home is a great idea because it helps link the languages. Because you would use ASL (or whatever sign language you choose) to teach specific words in your language rather than teaching them the whole sign language it can be used when speaking both languages. For example, if you sign and say 'milk' in English and then sign and say it in French the baby will realize the two words mean the same thing. It is a great link between languages!

  • Hello Laura, I've ...

    Hello Laura,

I've just spend over an hour watching all the different videos of yours. I have a question regarding a multi-language family such as my will be: I'm Czech, my husband English. We're planning on moving to France. So kids, when they come, will learn actually learn 3 languages (I will definitely teach them Czech). I'd also like to sign with them. Isn't that a bit too much for a little brain? Thank you.
