This is my old ship after being shot numerous times by 5" naval gunfire, strafed by aircraft and then hit by an RGM-84 Harpoon missile. Notice how this US ship, not ready for battle, is on fire but still afloat. Other ships, ready for battle, have sunk far faster; she probably could've saved too, if she were worth saving. She burned into the night and sank hours later (July 11, 2008).
