  • NAFTA is not the ...

NAFTA is not the problem, outdated U.S. agricultural subsidies are the problem (which NAFTA didn't create). This video is trying to suggest that if NAFTA didn't exist then Mexican poeple would be better off, which simply is not true.

Very true mrzack888. In addition, the subsidized American Corn farmers can afford to sell their corn for much less then Mexican corn farmers and still make a big profit. The subsidization of American farmers has lead to the bankruptcy of Mexican farmers and then we wonder why they come here.

  • Anyone who thinks ...

Anyone who thinks NAFTA is a "scam," or has been bad for the Mexican people, obviously knows absolutely nothing about economics or life in Mexico. Since NAFTA started unemployment in Mexico is down sharply, GDP has grown, and the percentage of people living in poverty is down.

AMERICAN UNIONISTS ARE FIGHTING AGAINST NAFTA TO SAVE A FEW THOUSAND AMERICAN JOBS AT THE EXPENSE OF HUNDREDS OF THOUSAND OF MEXICAN JOBS.

  • I see a lot of ...

I see a lot of people arguing against free trade, but they never say what there solution is. I wonder why? The biggest problem with NAFTA is that the US is subsidizing US farmers, thats not free trade. I'm sure the Mexicans would love to hear these people fighting to stop US companies from opening factories in their country. With friends like that...

  • hagiaadrasteia ...

hagiaadrasteia could not have said it better. America is being plunged into poverty by these rich corporations, the corrupt (non federal) federal reserve bank and the crooked politicians who work for these entities. America and the world needs to wake up before we are all living in shacks and watching our children starve.
