Who the F**k cares what key they're in? A progression is a progression, and it has nothing to do with a key.

A progression is marked by the tonal differences between notes and chords.

This is a I V VI III IV I IV V progression. It doesn't matter what key you play it in, which is why most of those songs fit. It's a cool skit to anybody that understands music theory & knows what a chord progression is, and knows that progressions don't necessarily have to do with tone.

Green Day's "Basket Case" has it in there. "Let It Be" is definitely different, though.

Let It Be is definitely slightly different. But F**k , the rest of those songs are pretty dead on.

i think hook by blues traveler used pachabel's chords as a joke, seeing as the song is dissing pop music with all the same chord progression.

I'm a kid that plays cello and it does S**k and the cello part does S**k for it pachelbel's canon. He's funny lol

Im a drummer so wouldn't know what it feels like 'cause we can make fills if it's boring beat like 8 quater notes so called basicbeat (don't know what's it called english). But ontopic: damn that was funny :D..
