    Who the fuck cares what key they're in? A progression is a progression, and it has nothing to do with a key.

    A progression is marked by the tonal differences between notes and chords.

    This is a I V VI III IV I IV V progression. It doesn't matter what key you play it in, which is why most of those songs fit. It's a cool skit to anybody that understands music theory & knows what a chord progression is, and knows that progressions don't necessarily have to do with tone.
