Lol. UPS is the biggest rail shipper in the U.S. Fed Ex also uses the rails, but not near as much. I have NEVER seen DHL on the rails.

I've had problems with all 4 major delivery services, but in my experience DHL has been the worst by far. Whenever I can change to another service I do. FedEx is probably the best with UPS just a little behind, USPS is a little behind them and way behind them is DHL. And now I know why, their trucks are all loaded onto a train instead of delivering packages like the other delivery companies.

Opinons are like assholes everyones got 1, so far DHL has never let me down where as FED EX has damaged many goods of mine to the point they were useless and went in the trash, no sence of fighting the damage claim area its a waster of time.UPS are just flat out ripoffs I konw i worked for them on their holiday season and its nuts.Ihad 1 instance with DHL and i managed to fix 1 of my damaged packages and sold the other 1.

And many DHL employees are union in the US - especially if they handle any kind of packages/freight. However, the original strategy was to have license out package delivery to small, local courier companies - whereas FedEx and UPS have nationwide trucking backbones.

They left my package on a truck, delivered it on days we told them not to, and didn't deliver on days we called them and told them to.

DHL Germany S**ks !!! They charged my mother 300 EUROS and told her they will deliver it in Indonesia in 2 days..

10 days later the parcel is not here and they said it will delivered by the Indonesian post office!!! WTF!!!!

I see what you mean now.

They drive down cost by cutting labor funds, most DHL workers except to brass can not afford to raise their families. In turn this results in less than happy employees which is transfered to poor customer service. DHL keeps this up long enough to have effect on the other American run companies. So they in turn have cut labor force and funds making it hard for the good working class people to raise families at all shipping companies now.
