This is the Video that was presented at the D6 conference (All Things Digital) lead by Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher.

In this video you can see some Multi Touch Demo Scenarios running in Windows 7 Milestone build (pre-alpha) with some Microsoft Surface Demo Apps.

Microsoft Surface Apps are WPF/.NET 3.5 apps and in Microsoft Surface Computer they are running on customized Vista Installations.

In the case of Surface they are controlled by Surface Layer OS Motion Control(*the name is rumored/speculated*).

you can see the names of the technologies that got to do with windows 7 porting of that tech that also powers part of Surface.

  • I never said I love ...

I never said I love Windows. I like it, I prefer Linux based OS's and BSD based ones, Macintosh too.
I adore Macintosh OS, I really do, but I dislike people talking bad about Windows, Linux, or in that case Macintosh or BSD.

  • Oh yeah. Then lets ...

Oh yeah. Then lets say that Yahoo copied Google with the searchengine and that the founders of the internet copied the internal networking systems. And why don't we just say that Jupiter copied our moon and that the sunflower copied the waterlily with the flowerpetals and that the bee copied the wasp with the wing. F**k YOU!

  • I agree with you on ...

I agree with you on that, people hates windows for being greedy too, viruses are caused by geeks that hate windows, or any given OPS mainly windows, I used to hate mac because I didn't use one before, once you get to use one and compare them if you're not a gamer, you more likely will love you mac, now intel based macs allow you to play video games. Something is true windows is copying mac on a lot of things the worse thing is that the do it wrong like with vista :(

  • Don't worry as soon ...

Don't worry as soon as mac will became more popular there will be more viruses for it too ;)
Viruses are not caused by system itself, its more because of popularity.

  • avatarxone: What's ...

    avatarxone:
What's up with those people, right? They can't see that technology is technology, and anything has to be implemented, if it makes the whole thing more effective.
However, Apple has done several really stupid things, just to be different from Microsoft. Like, 1-button mice (what's up with that!?), and the Finder has horrible hotkeys

  • Oh my god so this ...

Oh my god so this is the new thing, how original isn't it? if windows is going to imitate apple at least they should do it right, they even have a piano thingy I guess that's another lame imitation of garage band lol. I completely agree with you on your comment and I don't care getting thumbs down, that's what I gave vista, plus thanks to vista I decided to buy my imac and trust me I'm not coming back unless I start missing the viruses and other crap that windows provided me for year and years

  • I don't think this ...

I don't think this is really useful for a traditional PC environment. Apple got it right, this is more applicable for hand-held devices/tablet PCs where the focus of the activity isn't necessarily entering data but rather navigating graphical elements in a space-premium environment.

syzws - The multi-touch version is optional. BTW, where's your contribution to the world of technology? Your comments are idiotic a best, and show your bias... Oh, and Mr. Gates is laughing at your sorry ass all the way to the bank.
