As for the slutty comment, hello, she has personality. Not every dancer can conform to your vision of the perfect "fake" dancer. Shes just being true to herself. Last time I checked, that was an ideal quality for a person to have. If she didn't show her personality, her dance would be flat with no life. And the life in her dance seems to be something everyone can agree on.

Dina is a huge influence on what what bellydancing is. She helps define it, especially to us Americans. So, its difficult to hear someone say that she's not bellydancing, when clearly, she's bellydancing more truely than most dancers outside Egypt.

One more thing, it can be changed. I'm in the process, along with other old timers, of creating standards for instruction in Middle Eastern dance. I've lost gigs because of other dancers, btw, so it does affect me directly. When all people see is, "...strippers having epileptic seizures", they think ALL of us don't know what we're doing. The dance is an art, with precise footwork, stance, etc. Don't call it bellydance when it is INTERPRETIVE dance. That is all.

I've been a classical Egyptian dancer since 1976. I *do* enjoy dance, very much. However, it upsets me when people don't even RECOGNIZE TRUE BELLYDANCE, which is what Dina is doing! If you go to see the Nutcracker, do you NOT expect to see ballet? Or, do you think the ballerinas should just interpret the dance however they please? You just don't get it, do you?

I have to say that I think to many people are critical over things that do not be to be critizied! Dina is an exceptional dancer as well as "other so called dancers". Just enjoy the dance for what it is, don't bet all bent out of shape over what people call it. It is something that cannot be changed, North Americans think there is only the "shaking your junk" version but there is many others. Even if someone doesn't believe it does not change it:) Enjoy the dances, don't critize them.

You know what's very sad? When CLASSICAL EGYPTIAN dance is not recognized or understood by those who call themselves bellydancers. I guess if the bellydance stuporstars aren't banging their junk all over the place, people think it isn't bellydance. Dina dances REAL bellydance, not some made up krap like most so-called bellydancers do. Those "drunk" looking moves take extreme balance and skill. You wanna call yourself a bellydancer, then learn the damned dance!!!

I think something is lost when viewed on film. She seems like a drunk old lady at a wedding.

Oh PLEASE, I dont know bellydancer79 from the man on the moon. I guess everyone who hates Dina I must know or be that person. Millions wouldnt call that bellydancing if their life depended on it. She has sex appeal and a great personality plus shes a nice looking girl.Thats it. Thats what made her famous. Her dancing S**kS !!!!!!!

Bellydancer79 get a life! Dina is a bad dancer, yet you insist on watching her videos?! EVERYWHERE I go I find ur nasty comments, and Dina's videos are the only ones that I've seen you comment on.
