A current is produced in the ring because of the magnetic field of the magnet, this current creates a secondary magnetic field around the ring that is little delayed from the primary magnetic field of the magnet what creates a force and what makes the ring rotate. You can make magnetic motors and use eddy currents when you really understand this principel. It doesn't work with fish string or some other strings because of to much resistance. It need a first little impuls to start rotate and then after it it speeds up.

    nice video, if debunkers are so active probably you are on the right track :-) Just a question is the ring magnetic? After reading Sweet VTA documentation I stert to think that almost the same thing (your) can be done mechanically, probably just a matter of resonance
