  • just because it is ...

just because it is a partially randomised demo, making it verry impressive and realistic, doesnt mean its REAL.
with a title saying real aikido, you are asking for negative comments.
verry easy then to brag about all your aikido experience and knowledge, and call commenters dumb. (orckshocktheorc)
by the way the 3 random attacks are obvious to anny trained martial artist, and obviously not intended really hit the opponent.

is kind of not real..they all are bouncing when they catch their arm..i mean it hurts, but if you had train before you rezist the pain and take back your arm and throw the left in the head or weak other points, used to be in kick box, and i control really good my legs in low shoot and i bet that they haven't much power in their bodys is just tecnique to put the other down, pff if you catch a ex boxer with that tecnique it goanna be totally worthless and you gonna get your ass kicked :P

  • It works. I ...

It works. I started aikido a year ago now and almost quit a few times because it just seemed so fake. Lots of techniques don't feel practical to me still.

But it was only a few weeks ago I was attacked and slipped into a hijikime technique. However, it is a technique beyond my rank but it is an easy technique to use on a punch. I accidentally broke the guy's wrist. He was bigger than me and I couldn't think of anything else. I just reacted.

    you are a very ignorant.
The Nage does not know what is coming at him. He just reacts to what is happening.
    lol a boxer?
You have not even researched Aikido, or ANY martial art for that matter. I recommend that you go to an Aikido dojo, or a Budo Tai Jutsu dojo. Or any Japanese MA dojo. Try it. Do it for a month, and just learn what it is about. Don't think that they don't work if you can't do it, they are full life studies. Do research before you run ur mouth.

  • The uke attacks in ...

The uke attacks in these three ways to make the flow easier, and to keep the pace fast. It is after all a demo, needs to be flashy to attract the average folk.
That said, it isn't "Choreographed". The Uke is attacking in 3 different ways, and he is choosing the attacks on the spot, and the Nage reacts with a technique.
Nage does NOT know ahead of time what the attack is going to be. Part of Aikido is blending, you react to what happens, and do a technique from that.

    lol... people are dumb.
    Choreographed. lol.
Okay, lets break it down shall we?
1st off, this is a demo. It is showing some high level techniques in a Randori fashion. The Uke (the one attacking) is attacking in the 3 "basic" ways. Shomen Uchi (looks like a chop to the head) , Yokomen Uchi (Chop to the side of the head) and Tsuki (punch/stab). These are what all attacks from the arms can be grouped to. (a punch is still a punch etc.)
