All real Chinese broad sword are like that, they aren't meant for blocking, they are that bendy because if you strike someone with that weapon, you can flick it and instead of a slice they have a nice big open gash that is a lot more severe.

ok in all fareness i do shaolin kung fu..and ive seen the weapons but that sword is shite...My master is the 32nd generation Song Shan Shaolin Temple Martial Monk...^^

well i think the Cuan dao was the worst, but you maybe right.

Those weapons arent made of aluminum foil, thats just how Chinese weapons are because unlike most weapons they are made to be used more fluently in your martial arts technique instead of swinging/stabbing savagely like western weapons...oh yea and its a training video not a demonstration so I am sure the speed was purposely reduced.

OMG! is he a real shaolin monk?? 'cause his movements are bad, look a those stances, and flexibility,,, mmmm, the Dao (broadsword) was the worst form I've ever seen.
