The reason that many view Yu-gi-oh as a childrens show is that 4Kids made it that way. In the Japenese version, it was intended for teenagers.

Here is an example:

In 4Kids version, Marik sends his father to the shadow realm.

In the original, he kills him and skins him.

I was mad at first because u said YGP is childish and i like it but I am a child and that is why and you should be entitled to your own opinon i got mad at sasori4life because he said it in a rude way, thank you for being polite

I think i've prooven my point here, why do you think this show is never even mentioned by real anime fans, and why do you think they showed tis on regular TV insted of cable. Seriously, how immature is this, dorks playing with trading cards, this gives anime such a bad name, what a drag. This is such an imbarrising show.

Thank you, how childish is this anime. I cant belive i used to watch this trash, but i was a LITTLE KID. This show makes no sense at all, it doesn't even seem Japanese, those are american names, and i dont even know where the name yugioh comes from. Id rather watch Ninja fight than these dorks play with little pieces of paper with cartoons drawn on them. I should know, i practice Ninjutsu myself so i can relate.

YuGiOh is only okay to watch when it's being made fun of, because the regular show is very pointless how people's lives are messed up from playing cards.

Wow, and al this because of a trading card game, lol!!! Oh God, yeah, the life of a ninja has danger writen all over it ok, and its about real fighting and actually has real martial arts in it. Most of the stuff there is derived from real martial arts and old shinobi ways. Yeah yeah, i guess you can be right, but still, i've never seen anyone else in my high school watching this, reeal anime fans go for things like Naruto, Samurai Champloo, and oh S**t , i just saw Afro Samurai, damn....

Do you know the series (Even season zero) are censored? i bet you don't. YGO has real life and death situations... there are people with guns.. and the shadow games? do you know what actually happens to a player if looses? he/she DIES!! they don't go to te shadow realm. Here's an example: do you know the duel between yugi and pandora during Battle city? those were not Dark energy disks.. they were using a Saw wheel.

Of course not, Naruto is an Exageration of Ninjas, just like Dragon Ball Z was, in fact Naruto has become a modern day DBZ. But at least you see them deal with life and death, and things that really matter in life, not some trading card game, geez, that is so imature. I mean at least Naruto is an exageration, unlike this. Plus i would rather see a fight between Naruto and Sasuka, than a trading card duel or whatever, geez, how immature.

So... Having to do deal with 9 guys who with superpowers and highly advanced bodies, when you're a kid with ultimate power, thanks to a nine-tailed fox is "real life" to you, is it?
