    What I do is just one hard, short breath, out of my nose when I start my flip. That way no water gets up your nose and you have plenty of air to get a few strokes in before you breathe. NEVER BREATHE ON THE STROKE WHEN YOU BREAK THE WATER ON A FLIP TURN. This costs a hundredths of a second. This can make all the difference in a race.
