Congress and the president are the real culprits IMO. Bush has doubled the national debt. Someone once said that if a foreign foe handpicked our Congress to destroy this republic from within, they could not be more efficient that the dishonorable members now in office who have betrayed their trust and are running this country right into the ground. Looming depression and financial meltdown have become a daily part of our vocabulary, yet Congress keeps right on spending like there's no tomorrow.

Which problem are you referring to?
If you're talking about the current budget deficit and the fact that it's piling on to the public debt, it's mostly on Bush. Clinton had surpluses.
If you're talking about the unsustainability of medicare and social security, that's several administrations.
So most of the people in this movie are not responsible for the problem

I went as saw this. The movie was good but they could have done a better job of explaining. The panel at the end SUCKED. You should have heard everyone in the theater. The only speaker with ANY credibility was David Walker. The rest were a complete JOKE. What the hell were the people that made the movie thinking when they invited all these people.

this video snapshot is very interesting..bill bonner and his group have blamed the people who are here speaking about how big and terrible the problem is for creating the problem..this seems to diminish the message of the film..i mean if the people who are talking here were the ones who were instrumental in creating the problem and perpetuating it it is more than a little disingenuous for them to be now saying "oooh what a terrible problem and the president needs to say something about it."
