yeah good point. i dont think there is one thoroughbred in america that can be called truly "american" japanese S**k i hate when we send studs there. look wat happened to ferdinand. definitely a loss of bone look at barabaro, perfect example and countless others of course. theres a video on here about all the horses that died last year, from break downs and stuff. cant say it could of not happned but breeding probably had something to do with it.

Yes, and Bill Nack and others have talked about how all that good American bloodstock that was built on that European foundation has been sold over past 25 yrs or so, to Saudis, Japanese and maybe back to Europe, and it has hurt the pedigrees here, not to mention breeding for speed instead of stamina/strength, literally less bone more muscle, so lighter, but prone to injuries, but the dollar matters more than the horses. It should stop.
