By eyeblack42 [Affiliate User] 1206239916 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThank you for uploading this. Honestly, You need to go into much more detail. I picked up a small carving set from a local hobby store. and I've started working, I didn't have any other wood around other than a derby car block. so I started with that. More detail would be much appreciated.

By fiberdrunk [Affiliate User] 1205015157 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI need help!!!! What kind of wood is best for beginers. Can you do a simple craft, that I can do. Whats best for a small pocket knife. Im going to start this spring. Going into my woods and getting a piece of wood. Thing is I dont know what wood is best for pocket knifes and what sculpture is best??? Im clueless!!!!!
By Ciara365 [Affiliate User] 1204330171 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveGood morning! I have seen MANY wood carvers use just the pocket knife. Of course, the craft got started that way long ago.
Give it a go, and if you find that you enjoy carving, take a class, or try gouges somewhere. You'll dig it, really!
thanks
