Julia Child (1912-2004) was interviewed for three hours in Cambridge, MA for the Archive of American Television. Child discussed her first television show "The French Chef" created in 1962 for Boston's PBS station WGBH which was on the air until 1973. In b-roll, Ms. Child also presented some of her favorite cooking utensils and appliances. The interview was conducted by Michael Rosen on June 25, 1999.

    Julia child is an amazing woman. She brought french cuisine to the housewife (term used in the 60's when the primary homechef was the woman). I am a guy, and quite honestly I have almost every book this woman wrote, and have watched all her shows. She's an amazing influence for all genders, for all lifestyles. She let america know that french cooking isn't hoy-paloy, but easy cooking for everyone.

    yes, there is, it is in cambridge MA. thet took her actually kitchen to her cambridge house that she left to a college and put it in the musuem. I haven't gone but I watched the movie yesterday and they had a piece on it:)
