Um Rihanna was like 15/16 when she did the island style and apparently it was the record labels idea for her to be the island Beyonce! so obvouisly she grew up tried something that she enjoyed and it was a success. Its not out of the blue like what Michelle Willaims did, the women changed her style of music from R&B, Gospel, to Dance-Pop at 28! Like come-on thats obvouis. But Rihanna was 19 when she changed and NOBODY at the time was doing what she did, so i dont know about what your sayin.
