    ummm I would say I purchased way too much.. Umm there's really no answer to this because what I do is purchase what I think is enough... maybe like 10 balls and see where i go for that... long as walmart doesn't do a product change midway through my project, i'm happy with that. :) I go buy just a tad bit more when I am done with the 10... even just buy 6 and see where you end up. :)

    i know how to do the wheel and how to start it but when i get like to the third or fourth color my ends get like this c shap and they arent even straight. so what i am saying i can't do the ends. i hate that because i have to start all over again.

    I used Walmart wool. RED HEART BRAND... something affordable. The softer the wool, the more expensive it gets... I tend to keep it cheap because a blanket can take up to 60 bucks to make using even cheap wool.
