Jimmy Merchant has the cell phone, Herman Santiago has the red/orange shirt. They're both original members. The guy with the hat is Dickie Harmon, he placed Lewis Lymon in the group a few years back. Jimmy has retired since.

  • Well now the ...

Well now the original members of Frankie Lymon's Teenagers are Jimmy Merchant, guy with cell phone and I think his name is Herman Santiago or something like that. They said his name on Doo Wop Love Songs since I think he too was a writer for Why Do Fools Fall In Love. Then the guy with the deep voice is Bobby Jay. So two living original members w/ one still performing from the original lineup.

  • Kenny has made some ...

Kenny has made some great "cover" records on his albums. Some of my favorites are Countdown to Love, Diamonds and Pearls and Please Say You Want Me. What a talent. He has brought back doo wop music with his own style.

They would be great together. Kenny's voice on lead would make for some magic covers of almost any of the doowop great hits. He is gifted and you can see how much he loves what he is doing.

The original group that made this song was Louis Lyman and the Teenchords.
But this version and the spontaneity of the moment makes this an absolute classic.
At this moment this is my favorite version of this doo wop favorite.
I was sort of hoping tha Kenny and the Teenagers would do a concert together. What an incredible sound!
