Michelle Naranjo who is the Editor in Chief at Autobytel.com recently caught up with Kinetic Kia racing driver Michael Galati. Mr. Galati has over 25 years racing experience including over 100 racing victories. Kinetic Kia has entered 2 Kia Optima Turbo sedans to compete in the World Challenge GTS Division at the Streets of Long Beach.
Kia wanted to showcase the new Optima Turbo which is not just a good looking car but a quick car to thanks to its 2.0 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. The Kia Optima will be battling big powerful V-8 cars from Ford and Chevrolet as well as many other sports cars from Porsche, BMW, Nissan, and Audi to name a few. The Kinetic Kia is brand new so fine tuning is still being done. In the first race of the World Challenge series at St. Petersburgh; Galati was able to secure a 9th place. This was quite an achievement since this was the Kinetic Kia's World Challenge debut.
The best way to showcase a car is on the race track. And the fact that the Kinetic Kia Optima competes with highly capable sports cars is a real testament to Kia and the Kinetic Racing Team.
The Kia Optima was Autobytel's 2012 Sedan of the Year
